BRANGUS

Like this website.  Our Registered Brangus herd is also in its infancy.  From 2000-2007 we featured some really nice Brangus, but in 2008 we decided to quit the registered business and go straight commercial cattle. However, we love paperwork and registry headaches, so we have jumped back in with some incredible Herd Sires and heifers from Mound Creek Ranch to build a new herd from the ground up.

MC STATEMENT 541G18 ET (Gilly)

Incredible weights, performance, and looks.

He was lot 12 in the 2021 Mound Creek Sale.  Being an Aggie, it seemed only natural to name him after the best 12th man of my lifetime….Gilly.  1/2 brother to Bedrock(too good to sell) and Five Star(sold for around $160,000).

MC Boulder 541G8 ET  (Pebbles)

Check out the weights.

Nearly 800lbs Wean Weight and a 1420lb Yearling Weight.  44.4 SC.    Beast.

Pebbles is named after his Herd Sire, Boulder.  Boulder is one of the most recognized names in the Brangus breed.

Two full brothers were also in the sale.  One they named Bedrock and decided to keep on sale day.  The other sold for over $50,000.   Somehow, with the help of divinity, we were able to load this guy in our trailer after the sale.  Originally, we never considered him because he would be out of our price range.

MC MS IGNITE 777H7

She is soon to have her first calf with Gilly.  The plan is to make this heifer into a donor cow.     Mound Creek had some amazing heifers in their 2021 sale, but this one was the most feminine and beautiful of the bunch.  The other Ignite daughters sold were also top notch.  Branded ‘777’ seems lucky.

MC MS TANK 777H4 ET

Another ‘777’ heifer soon to calve to Gilly.  Powerful package and very different from 184.  This John Wayne and Resource daughter could move into the donor pen as well if she learns to play nice with others.
